উৎস হলো প্রকাশিত পৃষ্ঠা বা নথি, যেখান থেকে তথ্য এসেছে। চিহ্নটি কতটা তথ্য নথিভুক্ত তা দেখায়, ব্যবস্থা ভালো বা নিরাপদ কি না তা নয়। তথ্য না থাকা সুরক্ষা না থাকার প্রমাণ নয়।

খালি ঘর মানে সংযুক্ত সরকারি উৎস উত্তর দেয়নি। আওতা অসম, প্রকাশনা কার্যকারিতা প্রমাণ করে না এবং সনদের নির্দিষ্ট সীমানা থাকে।
