Levert een aangifte een match op met een risicoprofiel, dan bekijkt een Douanemedewerker de aangifte op basis van het algoritme. Indien nodig, vraagt de Douane medewerker om meer informatie. De beslissing om een aangifte goed te keuren, of om juist te gaan controleren, wordt door een mens genomen.
Het algoritme kan alle gegevens uit de aangifte van goederen gebruiken. Bijvoorbeeld goederensoort, goederencode, bescheidcode, gewicht, aantal colli, ontvanger, aangever, verzender, land van verzending, EORI-nummer, vervoermiddel etc.
